Malalaua Project

The Malalaua Power Station was opened in 2007 after being out of operation for nearly ten years.

The rehabilitation of the power station cost the Gulf Provincial Government a sum of K800,000 which was paid to PNG Power to install a 150 kVA generator to light up the township within the radius of one kilometer.

The areas that will be receiving electricity supply include the Malalaua, High School, Health Centre, Primary School and the District Administration building.
