Power Supply to Hidden Valley Mine Projects

The two 18 months contracts for power supply projects to Hidden Valley Gold Mine had been awarded and the scope of the works includes design, supply, installation and commissioning including all civil works of the entire works as follows:

1. Transmission Lines Project

The transmission line route distance is 105km from Erap to the Mine site. The 132kV single circuit transmission line will pass through Zenag, Bulolo, Wau and eventually to the mine site.

HG Power Transmission Sdn. Bhd, a company from Malaysia was awarded the contract to build the transmission line at the cost of K37m.

2. Substation Project

  • 132kv switching station at Erap with adequate provision for future development
  • 132kv/11kv switch yard at Hidden Valley
Dayen/Pestech JV, a joint venture company from Malaysia and Singapore was awarded the contract to build the two substations at the cost of K26.5m.
