Primary Objectives:
Reporting to the Regional Manager Operations Highlands, to manage the delivery of PPL’s short to medium term Maintenance Programme, by operating and coordinating planned (scheduled) and unplanned maintenance activities, in designated areas for transmission activities within the Ramu Transmission System.
Minimum Qualifications:
A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
A degree in Business/Commercial field with relevant power sector experience may be desirable
The incumbent must be registered with the Institute of Engineers of Papua New Guinea (IEPNG)
Minimum Experience:
The position holder must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in a management position preferably within the
power industry. Specifically, the position holder should have sufficient experience to be able to demonstrate success in the
following areas:
Competently managing and coordinating the running of GTD assets
Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders and managing maintenance activities and projects.
Establishing and managing a complete maintenance cycle, including development of maintenance plans, schedules, coordinating resources and ensuring the plant is maintained safely and aligned with SOPs and manuals
Aggressively address the causes of unplanned transmission line outages and also able to manage the expectations of people living along the transmission corridors.
Managing and coordinating of billing and revenue collections within the centre.
Developing and establishing organisation wide policies, procedures and standards in relation to Operational Risk Management, Emergency procedures and Health, Safety and Hazard Management.
Working for a service delivery organisation / in a service delivery function
Working knowledge of Occupational, Health and Safety regulations applicable for the power industry
